Things aren’t exactly going well at the restaurant Chez Fufu.

Management has barely managed to find a substitute waiter who doesn’t immediately run away after discovering a severed finger—and now the restaurant has another problem. A restaurant critic from the famous Michelin dining guide is expected to arrive, meaning absolutely nothing can go wrong.

Naturally, everything does.

Enter Ludovic Cruchot, an ill-tempered gendarme who is quickly promoted and assigned to investigate the increasingly chaotic situation. With tremendous enthusiasm—and a tendency to become distracted by every other violation of law and order he encounters—Cruchot sets out to solve the case.

Inspired by the frantic comedic style associated with legendary French actor and comedian Louis de Funès, The Pesky Corpse is a lively crime comedy filled with confusion, suspicious circumstances, eccentric characters, and one particularly inconvenient dead body.
