Neuss, Germany – Ein Täter unter uns

Could the friendly man sitting nearby, calmly enjoying his soup, actually be a murderer? Or might the elegant woman chatting at the next table be hiding a deadly secret?

In A Killer Among Us, the answer could be yes—because the murderer is actually sitting among the audience.

This highly interactive improvisational murder mystery puts guests at the center of the story. Together with a team of four actors playing the investigators, the audience helps determine what happened, who the victim is, and who among the guests may be responsible.

Before the performance begins, guests help shape important details of the crime, including the crime scene, method of murder, and murder weapon. Audience members are even photographed beforehand, because anyone could potentially become part of the evening’s mystery.

The actors then conduct their investigation from the stage, using audience suggestions to create scenes spontaneously. Because the production is based on improvisational theater, no one—including the performers—knows exactly how the story will unfold in advance.

The result is a multimedia murder mystery dinner filled with comedy, audience participation, unexpected developments, and a completely unpredictable investigation.
